The Asian American Donor Program, friends and family of Michelle Crisologo Ignacio, and firefighters from the different cities in the Bay Area put together a marrow and stem cell donor drive at Serramonte Mall in Daly City. Michelle suffers from Acute Myelogeneous Leukemia and needs a donor. The drive produced 430 donor registrants. IBA and WBO World Champion Ana "The Hurricane" Julaton and Fil-Am comedian Joey Guila came in support. Serramonte Mall, Daly City, California. March 6, 2010.
The Young Filipino Professionals Association (YFPA) held its monthly first Wednesday networking mixer at Amante Bar in San Francisco. It was co-sponsored by Ascend, an Asian American leadership organization dedicated to the finance and accounting industry. March 3, 2010
The Filipino American community in San Francisco celebrates the 24th Anniversary of the People Power Revolution. Speakers reflected on the days leading up to the bloodless uprising, which removed former Philippine president Ferdinand Marcos from 20 years of power. February 28, 2010.
The Golden State Warriors reach out to the different communities with their Heritage Nights. Proceeds from these nights are shared with community organizations. Last Nov. 6, 2009, the Warriors celebrated Filipino Heritage Night with the Kawayan Folk Arts dance group, Likha Pilipino Folkloric Ensemble, Pinay Divas and special guest Arnel Pineda, lead singer of Journey. The Warriors faced the Los Angeles Clippers. Clippers won 118-90. On Jan. 22, 2010, the Warriors hosted Asian Heritage Night with a portion of the ticket sales of the Warriors and New Jersey Nets game go to the San Francisco Hep B Free Program. Warriors beat the Nets 111-79.

The Filipino American community comes together for the 77th birth anniversary of former Philippine president Cory Aquino at St. Patrick's Church in San Francisco.
The Holiday Chocolate Show features almost 30 of the most beloved artisanal chocolate makers and vendors in the Bay Area. Participating chocolatiers include Chocolate Salon first place medal winners such as Divine Chocolate, Dolce Bella Chocolates, Jade Chocolates, Kika’s Treats, Neo Cocoa, and Sôcôla Chocolatier.
Also participating were the SF Firefighters, who were on hand to collect new unwrapped toys for their annual Toy Program. Herbst Pavilion, Fort Mason, San Francisco. November 14, 2009
In Partnership with UCSF and UC Berkeley, the San Francisco Hep B Free Campaign holds a monthly screening every first Saturday. Last February 6, 2010, it was held at Mt. Zion UCSF Medical Center. This collaborative screening offers free hepatitis B screenings and free to low-cost vaccinations.
Target and Coca-Cola North America announced the availability of a limited-edition calendar to commemorate the Asian Lunar New Year and 2010, The Year of the Tiger. The calendar, which will be available in limited quantities at participating Target stores in the San Francisco Bay Area, features 12 original tiger-inspired images created by community-based artists, as well as coupons for Coca-Cola products. The launch was held at the First Amendment Gallery in San Francisco, February 4, 2010.
The Filipino Channel celebrates its 15th Anniversary with “One Kapamilya Go!” at California’s Great America in Santa Clara, California. The event was highlighted by the appearances of John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo, Luis Manzano, Billy Crawford, Charice Pempengco, Vhong Navarro, Rachel Alejandro, Pinoy Dream Academy Dreamers Laarni Lozada and Bugoy Drilon, America’s Best Dance Crew finalist Kaba Modern. The Sept. 20, 2009 event was hosted by comedians Chokoleit and Candy Pangilinan.
